I do have also an August, 1824 "Reference To The Plan of The Island of Grenada" also by Gavin Smith, showing, by Parish, the names of the different Estates; the Proprietors' Names (corrected up to 1824); the Species of Produce made; and the quantity of Land belonging to each. The booklet, Reference is 10 pages and I use this in conjunction with the 1801 Map, also by Gavin Smith. There is a lot of cross-reference.Jim Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17012359666100915188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8724445525739242038.post-91691836529709925202011-06-04T23:31:12.948-04:002011-06-04T23:31:12.948-04:00This map is an absolute jewel! I see it defines the 'parishes', but I cannot make out all of the small note added about 'list of units [?]' or whatever. Does that refer to the numbered tracts on the map? If so there could be legend somewhere. Wonderful and so useful - and yes, 'slick'!mafarrnoreply@blogger.com
