And the discoveries keep happening. You never know what I may stumble upon in this search and research of my ancestry and genealogy.

I am currently checking out the branches of my father’s mother’s mother’s mother’s father, my ggg-grandfather Jean-Baptiste Merle. GGG-grandfather Jean-Baptiste had an older brother, Jean Merle. GGG-granduncle Jean Merle was born in Bordeaux. Based on my understandings and calculations, as indicated from the documents, he was born 8 November 1807.
