Part 286s – Smith Robertson Genealogy – Indenture Research – 1829 James & David Smith

28 May 2010

Afternoon,

Once again I am working on my obsession. I have to find the origins of, the ancestry and early genealogy of my ggg-grandfather James Smith. I have committed myself to this Transcription Project and I ask myself, at times – “What if I do not ever discover the ancestors of ggg-grandfather James? What If I never discover from whence he came?” And of course frustration just begins to hover… In my case, it is, at times, as if I’m attempting to build my own Tower of Babel-Smith…

Insert – Pieter Bruegel’s Tower of Babel, 1563, Vienna

The next Record from the Grenada Registers of Records, similar to the most recent and previous ones does not provide me any hint or clue as to the genealogy or ancestry of ggg-grandfather James Smith. This Document is pertinent again to the same families; Bell, Green, Graham, and McNairn involved with what appears to be the disposition of real estate and property on the Island of Carriacou.

The images of the pages are downloaded from the microfilm FHL [1563380] and are pages 310 to and including 313. As compared to previous “Carriacou” documents, this one is short. Here are the pages –

And my transcription –
