Part 421j – Smith Robertson Genealogy – 1731 Marriage – Piere Jullie and Marguerite

Morning,

I would never have believed that I would have ever been able to find the documentation relevant and necessary to re-construct the branches of my genealogy and family tree.

This next transcription work is the best that I can make out, but I can honestly say that there appears to be enough information that provides confirmation that this Acte de Marriage of 1731 is pertinent to my July Family line.

The image is a page of the Parish Registers of Sainte-Marie of Sarlat. Again there are no page numbers to cross-reference. My four points of recognition are the names Piere, Jullie, Marguerite, and Sarlat. The actual date of the Acte de Marriage is 11 September 1731, and this provides credence that the bride and groom so registered is that of gggggg-grandparents Piere and Marguerite Jullie.

I have downloaded the image from the microfilm FHL [1415272].

And here is my attempted transcription. Any assistance would be appreciated. I would like to be able to read the word in the first line following gggggg-grandfather Piere Jullie’s name. All-things-being-equal it could be a word relaying his occupation… and that is only my guess.

On September 11, 1731 they have received the wedding blessing Piere Jullie, _____ and Marguerite native of _____ _____ and resident of Sarlat in the presence of Guillaume Leceniar? and Francois _____ _____ _____ _____ has ascribed the wedding blessing.

Ce travail de transcription suivante est le meilleur que je peux faire, mais je peux honnêtement dire que il semble y avoir suffisamment d'informations qui permet de confirmer que cette Acte de mariage de 1731 est pertinent de ma lignée familiale de July.

Mes quatre points de la reconnaissance sont les noms Piere, Jullie, Marguerite, et Sarlat. La date effective de l'Acte de mariage est de 11 Septembre 1731, et cette offre créance que la mariée et le marié ainsi enregistré est celui du arrière-arrière-arrière-arrière-arrière-arrière- arrière-grand-parents Piere et Marguerite Jullie.
