Part 425j – Smith Robertson Genealogy – 1732 Birth & Baptism – GGGGG-Grandfather Pierre Julie

Good morning,

And yes, the tree is not up as yet. It will go up tomorrow night… and I have to be careful of leaving any wrapped food stuff beneath as I’m sure the Rats will most definitely find and open the tinseled treasures.

I’ve been spending quite a bit of time in my genealogy research tracing and uprooting possible documentation of my July ancestors. It is amazing, that in the course of ancestry exploration, one can have a very dry period and not find a damn thing. That’s when it becomes extremely frustrating… as when I come upon the “dreaded” brick wall, but then “Eureka”, I stumble upon a wealth of information.

This is the case of my July ancestors… and July is the surname, if you haven’t realized at this point. I am not obtusely searching for the 7th month of the year. I just wish the same was for my Smith ancestors and my ggg-grandfather James Smith. I just know that at some point I'll hit that "Eureka" point.

From the FHL collection “Registres paroissiaux de Sainte-Marie de Sarlat (Dordogne), 1618-1791” I was able to locate the actual baptism registration, dated 6 June 1732 for ggggg-grandfather Pierre Julie, son of gggggg-grandparents Pierre Julie and Margueritte Escouveyrou.

I have copied the image of the baptism registration from the microfilm FHL [1415272].

My transcription –

Le sixieme juin 1732 a eté baptizé Pierre Julie fils natural et legitime de Pierre Julie et de Margueritte _____ Escouveyrou a été parrain Pierre Debro? et marraine Guilianne Moliere né le 5ieme de meme mois a onze _____ du soir Monsieure?

And my translation –

On June 6, 1732, was baptized Pierre Julie natural and legitimate son of Pierre Julie, and Margueritte _____ Escouveyrou, the godfather was Pierre Debro? and godmother Guilianne Moliere, born on 5th of the same month at eleven _____ evening Monsieure?

As you can see the script on the page in the image is not too, too legible. Any visual acuity would be appreciated.

Et oui, l'arbre de Noël n'est pas encore en place. Il ira jusqu'à demain soir ... et je dois être prudent de laisser de produits alimentaires emballés sous, je suis sûr que le Raïs trouvera très certainement, et d'ouvrir les trésors enveloppé.

J'ai passé, un peu de temps, dans mes recherches de généalogie de traçage, et le déracinement de documentation possible de mes ancêtres de July. Il est étonnant que dans le cours de l'exploration ascendance,on peut avoir une période très sèche et ne pas trouverune fichue chose. C'est à ce moment qu'il deviant extrêmement frustrant ... comme quand je tombe sur le mur de briques "terrible", puis "Eureka", je tombe sur une mine d'informations. C'est le cas de mes ancêtres de July ... et le nom de famille est July, si vous n'avez pas réalisé à ce stade. Je ne suis pas obtus recherche pour le 7ème mois de l'année. Je souhaite juste que le meme a été pour mes ancêtres de Smith, et mon arrière- arrière- arrière-grand-père, James Smith.

De la collection FHL "Registres paroissiaux deSainte-Marie de Sarlat (Dordogne), 1618-1791", j'ai pu, pour localiser l'enregistrement baptême réelle, en date du 6 Juin 1732 pour aaaaa-grand-père Pierre Julie, fils de aaaaaa-grand-parents, Julie Pierre, et Margueritte Escouveyrou.
J'ai copié l'image de l'acte de baptême, à partir du microfilm, FHL [1415272].
