Part 426j – Smith Robertson Genealogy – 1735 Baptism & Birth – GGGGG-Grandaunt Jean Claude Jullie

Shades of e. e. cummings. It is somewhat taxing, not that it would not take too, too much to do that to the grey mush between my ears, but the scribe who entered the baptism registration of my ggggg-grandaunt Jean Claude Jullie must have had an earlier version of a texting unit.

In my research of documents and data in the search of my genealogy and ancestors I have to be cognizant to the idea that not every scribe or recorder is going to write entries in the format that I am so accustomed. In this case the scribe had decided not to capitalize proper names and words… and that, most definitely throws me off my exercise of translating. I am so glad that I had to take a semester of e. e. cummings at some point in my educational past. Could we say that he was a texter, shy the mobile unit, before the time?

Again from the FHL collection “Registres paroissiaux de Sainte-Marie de Sarlat (Dordogne), 1618-1791” I found the baptism registration, dated 26 March of ggggg-grandaunt Jean Claude Jullie, daughter of gggggg-grandparents Pierre Julie and Margueritte Escouveyrou.

I had to make sure that I could read key points to ensure that I make an informed judgment regarding the information of any specific person. In this case, when I initially looked at the baptism registration I read the name “Jean Claude Jullie”. In my learning, “Jean Claude” is a masculine name. But as indicated in the registration the child being baptized is the “fille naturalle et legitime”, the natural and legitimate daughter. “Jean Claude” is a female. She is my ggggg-grandaunt and not my ggggg-granduncle. My mistake… Lesson learned… make sure to read the total as best as possible.

Il est un peu taxer, non pas qu'il ne prendrait pas trop, trop à faire que de labouillie grise entre mes oreilles, mais le scribe qui inscrit l'acte debaptême de mon arrière- arrière- arrière- arrière- arrière-grand-tante Jean Claude Jullie doit avoir eu une version antérieure d'une unité de SMS.

Dans ma recherche de documents et de données, à la recherche de ma généalogie et des ancêtres, je dois être conscients, à l'idée, qui n'est pas tout scribe ou un en registreur, va écrire des entrées dans le format, que je suis tellement habituée . Dans ce cas, le scribe avait décidé de ne pas tirer parti, les noms propres et les mots... et que, très certainement, me jette hors de mon exercice de traduction. Je suis tellement heureuse, que je devais suivre un semestre de e. e. cummings, à un moment donné dans mon passé d'enseignement. Pourrions-nous dire qu'il était un texteur, sans l'unité mobile, avant le temps?

Je devais m'assurer que je pouvais lire les points clés,afin de s'assurer que je fais, un jugement éclairé quant aux informations, de toute personne en particulier. Dans ce cas, quand j'ai d'abord examiné, lors du baptême actede, j'ai lu le nom de "Jean Claude Jullie". Dans mon apprentissage, "Jean Claude" est un nom masculin.
