Yes, I had to do a search on the name Clestine… According to the website WhitePages, they have on record 70 people in the United States today with the first name Clestine. It ranks as the 48,539th most common name. And of those 70, there are only three, per their records, Clestine Smiths in the United States. Thinking that this may have been a script or transcription error, a quick and exact first, with no last, name search in Ancestry produced 2,206 matches. A further exact and fixed search on the complete name Clestine Smith resulted in 20 matches.
At times I will do these types of Internet and web site searches just to give me some credibility and possibly soundness to the words and phrases that I may be transcribing.
All-things-being-equal there is no hint of connection of Clestine Smith with ggg-grandfather James Smith.
This following Document is page 569 and 570 of the Grenada Register of Records 1797 to 1817 (v. G2-R2) and I was able to download an image from microfilm FHL [1563328].
