No cat this morning, and I spent a sleepless night last night just transcribing.

First on my list of Records, a Bill of Sale between Cecille Smith and William Cockburn attorney to Richard Oliver Smith. The Bill of Sale is dated 1 December 1828 and was entered to the Grenada Register of Records 20 December 1830. There is no contained information that would connect either Smith to ggg-grandfather James Smith.

And the pages 450 and 451 from Item 7 of the microfilm FHL [1563329]:

Know all men by these presents That I Cecille Smith
of the Parish of Saint John of the Island of Grenada for and inconsideration of the sum
of One Hundred and Sixty five pounds Current Money of the said Island of Grena-
da aforesaid to me in hand well and truly paid by William Cockburn Esquire, as attor-
ney for Richard Oliver Smith Esquire proprietor of Revolution Hall Estate situate
in the parish aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents (the receipt
whereof I do hereby acknowledge,) have granted bargained, sold, enfeoffed and confirmed
and by these presents do grant bargain sell enfeoff and confirm unto the said Richard
Oliver Smith his Heirs and assigns or a Certain Negro slave called Mary Louise
and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders rents issues and profits there
of and all the estate right title and interest use trust property claim and demand
whatsoever either at Low or Equity of me the said Cecille Smith of in or to the said slave
Mary Louise to have and to hold the said slave Mary Louise and all and singular

And I do hereby warrant and defend the said Slave Mary Louise unto and to the

whereof I have hereunto set my hand an seal this First day of December in the
year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty Eight

being the full consideration money therein mentioned to be by him paid to me
I say received £165 Currency

same deed in the presence of
