I shocked myself when I began working on the Gloucester City, New Jersey Birth Registration Entry for Andy’s grandfather Harry Brunhammer. Last night when I downloaded the image for the Birth Registration from the microfilm FHL [494216] I was working on only grandfather Harry’s documentation. As I was piecing the two parts together due to the fact that the complete image was too large for the Minolta scanner, I noted that the first Entry was that for grandfather Harry’s 1st cousin (or Andy’s 1st cousin 2-times removed) Blanche M. Brunhammer.

The series of 290 microfilms held at the FHL are the microfilms of the original records and indexes at the New Jersey State Library in Trenton. The above-referenced microfilm FHL [494216] is titled, Births Atlantic-Essex v. 34 1890-1891.

Grandfather Harry’s Birth Entry is dated 5 February 1891 and his cousin Blanche M.’s is dated 29 July 1890. Their fathers, Eugene and Julius (aka Geies, Jules), were their fathers, respectively.
