Part 220s – Smith Robertson Genealogy – Indenture Research – 1816 James & David Smith of Carriacou, Grenada – New Study Matrix

24 February 2010

Early morning,

Another freeze is forecasted for Tampa this coming Friday. Well, there’s nothing to left to cover. And my new tomato plants are in pots that I can bring them into the warmth. I’m trying those upside-down planters again this spring.

I have updated the Smith Genealogy Indenture Study Matrix. There are actually now two; one for each microfilm that I have finished or am currently working with – FHL [1563328] and FHL [1563329]. I’ve attempted to keep the same names in each Matrix and they are a part of my genealogy and ancestry research as I search for that hint of evidence.

Continuing with my Indenture Project, the next Smith-related Record as found in the Grenada Registers of Records, 1817-1837 (v. G2-R2) is found on the microfilm FHL [1563329].

This Document, on pages 136 and 137, is dated 31 October 1816, avowed 26 July 1817, and entered 6 August 1817. There are a ton of names entered to this Record including James and David Smith. There is no hint that this is ggg-grandfather James or that David Smith is of any relation to my ancestor.
